8beaufort.hamburg turns used sails into sneakers. Re- and upcycling come first. Material that has already been in service is reused rather than discarded. Less waste, before a shoe is even made.
The sneakers are made from European leather and waxed cotton, tanned with plant-based agents, and produced fairly in Portugal. This lowers CO₂ emissions and protects people and the environment from harmful substances.
At FABRIC, this principle meets a space that treats fashion as a loop, from resource to production to product. The pop-up shows what circular production looks like in everyday use.
